How Death Swap works

Death Swap is a race to out-kill your friends. Dig pits, place lava, or leave someone stranded over the void, then wait for the timer to drop them into your trap. When the swap hits, you inherit their spot — so escape gear and reading their plans matter as much as the setup. Agree on swap timing and rules before starting.

Getting your group into the game

  1. Join the waitlist for news about beta access. Once you have access, sign in to Worlder and choose Death Swap from the Minecraft catalog.
  2. Create the world and wait for it to become active. Startup time varies by mode.
  3. Open Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11, select Multiplayer, then Add Server. Enter the server address shown by Worlder and share it with your friends.

Setup and first steps

Use /deathswap in-game to configure and start the challenge with your group.

Before your Minecraft night

Everyone should use the Java version listed above. Bedrock and console crossplay are not currently advertised as supported. World uploads and automatic backup restoration are planned features; do not rely on them during beta. Check beta access and plan details before arranging a session.
